The Star City Jazz is the most advanced jazz ensemble at Miamisburg High School.  This big-band ensemble rehearses every day as a curricular subject during the first quarter, and continues twice a week after school for the remainder of the school year.  The group performs for Community Events, Senior Centers, other schools in the district, and at several local jazz festivals. 

The Star City Jazz has performed at the Purdue University Jazz Festival, Bowling Green State University Jazz Day, Beavercreek Jazz Festival, and the Fraze Jazz Festival.  The Star City Jazz is under the direction of Steve Aylward and is available for bookings by calling the band office at   (937) 866-7131 ext. 270.  Requests can also be made via emailing any of the Band Booster Executive Board members in the CONTACT US portion of this website.
