Student Fundraising Philosophy

Student fundraising activities are organized and conducted as a courtesy to members of the Miamisburg Bands Program to assist in meeting financial obligations.  The Miamisburg Band Boosters utilize a variety of different fundraising vehicles to create opportunities for students and families to earn money that can be applied to their student account.  Paying down a student account through "sweat equity" allows every student access to the many programs regardless of financial status.  Operating a variety of different fundraising vehicles throughout the year relieves (and in most instances eliminates) any financial burdens associated with participation in activities where fees are required.

Student Fundraising Positions

Every student fundraising activity requires volunteers to plan, organize and assist in the implementation.  Regardless of whether your particular student is participating in the fundraising activity at hand, ensuring that the ENTIRE band community has opportunities to belong without creating a financial burden, is the only responsible thing to do.  Theoretically, every band member could fundraise their entire fees without taxing any of their family's household finances.  Providing volunteers to ensure that this concept is viable is supported by the Miamisburg Band Boosters, and we encourage the entire band community to share this vision for the financial welfare of all individuals (as well as the Band Booster Organization).

All activities require:
Fundraising Coordinator
Fundraising Accountability
Student Account Director Coordination
Volunteers for setup and cleanup (if applicable)
